ABSTRACT: The role of early childhood education in reducing prejudice was explored to understand how early educational interventions can foster inclusivity and tolerance. The study's objectives were to assess the levels of prejudice among children attending early education programs, identify educational practices that reduce prejudice, and evaluate the long-term effects of these practices on children's social interactions. A survey design was selected due to its efficiency in gathering data from a broad demographic. A sample size of 200 preschool children from Kano State, Nigeria, was chosen using purposive sampling to include those enrolled in diverse early education programs. Findings indicated that children exposed to inclusive curricula and multicultural activities exhibited significantly lower levels of prejudice. Interactive activities like group discussions, cultural exchange programs, and stories promoting diversity were most effective. The study recommended integrating these practices into early childhood education curricula to foster a more inclusive society from an early age.
